The Early Childhood Programs and Services Committee of the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) has partnered with LEGO to bring you a toolkit for hosting makerspaces for kids in your library.
Many North Dakota libraries already have LEGO clubs, but if you haven’t hopped on the bandwagon yet, this is a great opportunity to get involved!
The toolkit provides ideas for structuring your program and ideas for activities. It suggests the following tips:
- Designate a space
- Gather age- appropriate materials
- Pick a project
- Spur storytelling
- Capture and share the creative process
