I recently had the great good fortune to once again attend the Mountain Plains Library Association’s annual conference. Their convention this year was in gorgeous Fountain Hills, Arizona–where the temperature seldom dipped below 80 degrees and North Dakotans (like those pictured below) were deeply puzzled by the absence of snow and sub-zero windchills.
If you weren’t able to attend, conference session handouts and presentations are archived here.
The programming was diverse and all the sessions I attended were excellent, so you should be able to find some great ideas regardless of your library type, size, or interests. The highlights for me were Attack of the Giant Tech Monster and Exploring the Leadership Frontier: Boldly Blazing a New Trail. The keynotes were spectacular, as well. If you ever have the opportunity to see Connie Willis speak, do not miss out–she is an absolute treasure.
